HealthScore Chart of the Week

With all the recent back and forth with regard to the value and viability of branches, we thought it would be interesting to see a chart comparing individual credit union HealthScores with the number of individual credit union branches. The chart is included below.

What to make of this chart? Well, with regard to the age-old question of “To branch or not to branch?” it appears that the answer is, “It depends.” Certainly consumer branch service expectations and usage patterns are changing, but even in the midst of such change there are quite a few credit unions who likely owe their growth and health to their branch network.
